Top Item This Week
Do you know that you don't have to use coupons to create your stockpile? Many times you can stock up your stockpile by just using the weekly store ads. Sometimes it's difficult to pick out what's a good deal in the weekly ad and what isn't. I've decided to try a weekly section on my favorite in-store ad. Each week I will pick 1-2 items that are my favorite of the week and tell you if it's a good price to stock up on.
Let's take a look at this weeks ads.
CountryMart:
Kool-Aid 10/$1. This is defiantly a stock up price for two reasons! First. It's a GREAT price. Kool-aid is usually $0.20-$0.25. Second Kool-aid only goes on sale once a year during the late spring early summer months. It will most likely not be back on sale until this time next year! Stock up now.
For a close runner up.. Post Cereal for $1.88! Match this up with the $1 off 2 coupons available at www.coupons.com for a fantastic stock up price!
Richards Brothers:
Honestly not much to write home about. Oranges are pretty decent buys but nothing in this weeks ad alone that I would consider a stock-up price. :(

I like to stock up Kool-Aid, because we use a mixture of it and Jell-o to make no-drip Popsicles during the summer months. Popsicles are expensive, but homemade ones only cost pennies!
ReplyDeleteWe've made our own popsicles before as well. I'm cheap and usually stock up on a couple boxes of those cheap ones that come in the net bag/box that can be left out of the freezer until needed. It lasts us all year.
